Sans Water Purifier Setup GuideUpdated 17 minutes ago
Setup takes just a few minutes, plus about 30 minutes to prepare your new filters. This video walks through every step, and the written version follows.
Steps
- Wash and fill. Wash the glass pitcher and tap water tank with warm water and mild dish soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Fill the tap water tank to the max line with cold water only.
- Assemble.
- Clip the drip tray into the front of the unit.
- Place the glass pitcher on the drip tray with the handle facing outward. Make sure the float sensor is aligned at the spout. The float sensor is the piece that moves freely inside the pitcher lid.
- Your filters come pre-installed. Confirm all three are securely in place.
- Open the lid and insert the filled tap water tank by hooking it into the grooves at the top and sliding it down to the base. Give it a slight push down for a tight seal, and make sure the tank sits flush against the machine.
- Close the lid.
- Plug in. Filtration begins automatically. Once the internal tank is full, water will begin dispensing into the glass pitcher. This takes about three minutes the first time you use the machine.
- Prepare your new filters. Run four complete cycles of filling the tap water tank and letting the entire tank dispense into the pitcher. Each cycle will be more than one pitcher, so discard each pitcher as you go. Four complete tanks take about 30 minutes.
Once that’s done, your purifier is ready.
Getting to know your control panel
- Water quality display: Shows the total dissolved solids (TDS) reading of the dispensed water in real time.
- Refill tank indicator: Flashes when there’s no more fresh water in the tap water tank. When you see it, remove the tank, empty the residual wastewater, refill with fresh tap water, and return it to the purifier.
- UV running indicator: The internal UV-C light activates periodically on its own. This indicator lights up when it’s active.
- Hot button: Tap hot, then tap dispense to pour hot water for coffee, tea, oatmeal, and more. The hot button lights up red when active. Place your mug directly under the spout. Hot water can’t be dispensed into the glass pitcher.
- Dispense button: Tap to start dispensing and tap again to stop. It works for both room temperature and hot water.
- Filter replacement indicators: These flash when a specific filter needs replacing.
- Reset button: Press and hold to enter reset mode, tap to select the filter type, then press and hold to confirm. Only use this button when you’ve replaced a filter.
